投稿日:2020年2月25日 更新日:

Sapporo is the biggest town in Hokkaido.
There are a lot of sightseeing spots.

目次

  • Hokkaido University
  • Night view from Mt.Moiwa
  • Sapporo tram
  • Sapporo Odori Park

Hokkaido University

Hokkaido University is also a tourist destination and has a wonderful botanical garden.
This time, I did not enter the botanical garden because the date did not match. Unfortunately, next time!
Hokkaido University was originally an agricultural school.
You can see many plants and old buildings in the school.
It is the most beautiful campus in Japan.

You can get the map of Hokkaido University to free

The Information Center has all major university related materials, including important publications in English, such as the Guidebook, Handbook, and official Hokkaido University maps.

The beautiful night view from Mt. Moiwa

Newly selected three major night views of Japan.
By the way, the other two spots are Nagasaki and Kita-kyushu.

Information

Summer (1st April – 20th November) : 10:30~22:00
Winter (1st December – end of March)

Mt. Moiwa is located in the center of Sapporo city.
Altitude is 531 meters.
It was a holy mountain of the Ainu people.
Ainu is the indigenous people of Hokkaido.
From the summit you can see the town of Sapporo
nearby mountains and the sea.
You use a rope way from the foot to the middle
and use a small cable car from middle to the summit on the mountain.

Take the tram!

The streetcars in Sapporo are circulating, so you can take either direction. When you go around, you can understand the state of Sapporo.
You can see the usual situation of Sapporo instead of sightseeing.
Around 50 minutes, the fee is 200 yen.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays the one-day shiden pass “Dosanko Pass” is a great bargain – with just 1 ticket priced at ¥370. One child (up to elementary school age—12 years) can ride for free when accompanying an adult with the pass.

You can take a tour of the train cars at the train bureau, admission free of charge!

Sapporo Odori Park

Odori Park is located in the center of Sapporo.
One of the tourist attractions is a TV tower located in this park.
Total length 15km.
There are many flower beds.
A lot of lilacs bloom in early summer.
And every year, a lilac festival is held.
It is familiar to many citizens.

See you on our next trip!!
