Tennoji station
One of the terminal stations in Osaka.
Terminal Japan rail line (JR), Osaka city subway,
Kintetsu rail line, Hankai rail line.

Shitennoji Temple
Address: 11-18, shitennoji 1-chome, Tennoji-ku, Osaka
First Japanese Temple in a Law. (Construction 593)
The building of this temple burned in World War 2 and was rebuilt about 24 years after War.
The arrangement of the building faithfully reproduced style of 1400 years old.
The stone torii gate.
The one behind the tori gate is the Saimon gate.
Let’s turn the wheel to right in the Saimon gate.
It is said to clean your mind.
The Flea market is open on 21st and 22nd in every month.

Isshinji Temple

Isshinji known as the Common People’s Temple.
There is the Okotsubutsu.
A statue of the Buddha made of the ashes of 200,000 people.
Traditional wooden architecture and Contemporary architecture are mixed.
Especially, The Nio Guardians statues have an impact.
Let’s visit Sanzen-butsudo hall, there is a big mural.

Mt. Chausuyama
Altitude 26 m. You have to walk about 1 minute.
You can get a certificate if you reach the top of the mountain.
It is sold in Isshinji Zonmudo-hall. (100 yen)
The hall is very close by there.

Tennoji Park
Big park.
There is a Zoo and Osaka Municipal Museum of Art.
A good sightseeing point is the Japanese garden Keitaku-en.
(Admission fee: 150 yen)
Jihei Ogawa, who made this garden, was a famous gardener
in the Meiji period (About 120 years ago).
Jihei made the garden of Heian-jingu Shrine in Kyoto too.
Abeno Harukas 300 Observatory
Observatory 300m above ground.
(Admission fee: 1500 yen)
On a Sunny day, you can see Kyoto tower.
Night view is a sea of light.
(There is a special rest room. Let’s use 300m high toilet.)
If you do not want to pay, there is a low observatory space for free on 16F.
You can enjoy seeing the view of your day course from the 16F.
