Hozenji Yokocho

Close to Dotondori, there is the Hozenji Yokocho area.

(= Hozenji side street)

When you walk Dotonbri street,

you can see a willow front of Imai Udon noodles restaurant.

The left side, there is a narrow street.

If you through there, you can see diffrent scenery.

 

This street is a stone pavement with stone that quiet and historic.

 

 

 Hozenji temple

The main place in this area is Hozenji temple.

There is the Mizukake-Fudou Buddha statue.

Moss is covering this statue’s body.

 

When you pray, you sprinkle it with water to it.

Please try it!!

There are about 60 restaurants and bars in this area.

Meoto Zenzai (Japanese Sweets)

If you like some sweets, please you visit Meoto Zenzai.

Zenzai is a Japanese sweet served in a bowl put on rice cakes.

Meoto (夫婦)= Couple

It divides one cup of zenzai into two small cups.

It is a lucky food for the couple to get along well together.

Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum

There is private museum of Ukiyoe.
