Hello. Today I will inform you a new sightseeing spot in Kyoto.
This spot opened about 4 years ago,
it is rare for foreign tourists to visit.
There is the Higashi-yama mountain at the East side of Kyoto.
Seiryu-den on top of this mountain
is a pleasant out-of-the-way spot in Kyoto.
Special point is you can watch nice panoramic view of Kyoto from here.
This wooden building has been relocated here from Kyoto city.
Before, it was used as a Kendo and Judo training hall.
The hall which combines Western and Japanese styles of architecture.
Shogun-zuka(将軍塚)
About 2500 years ago,
Emperor of the day was thinking to move the capital city.
When he saw the Kyoto Basin from here,he decided the capital.
Japanese Garden
Nice Garden, you can see the seasonal flowers
and hear the sound of water.

Admission fees
Individuals:Adults, 500 yen
Grade 13-17 years old, 400 yen
Grade 7-12 years old, 200 yen
Access
JR Kyoto Station → Subway Karasuma line : Kyoto Station
→ Karasuma-Oike station → Subway Tozai line Karasuma-Oike
→ Keage station → Taxi about 10min (Around 1000 yen)
There is a Bus line but it is inconvenient.
If it is difficult to stop the Taxi,
please visit the front gate of The Westin Miyako Kyoto Hotel.
